Creek Walk at Frog Hollow Camp

Miss Lisa grew up on Paces Valley Road, on property bordered by Nancy Creek:  “My brother, Dusty, and I spent hours each summer playing in the creek, trying to catch minnows and crawfish as well as looking for treasures!”

Miss Lisa is glad to be able to share the fun of “creek walks” with the Frog Hollow campers on East Beechwood, in the same creek she loved as a child.

Campers also find treasures, and golf balls, along the beach. Many collections are started here.

Building Play at Frog Hollow!

This year Frog Hollow added a new activity, Building Play.   This activity consists of three large boxes of different sized blocks being dumped into the middle of the floor.   Campers then build structures around the playroom, individually or together, with the common goal of creating a large city connected by roads and paths.

This activity helps campers learn about balance and develop motor skills.

There are 4 rules in Building Play:

  1. No knocking anyone’s building down.  You will have to help rebuild it.
  2. No throwing the blocks.  This includes anything that can launch the blocks into the air.
  3. Everybody has to help clean up.
  4. Have Fun!!
