Fifteen years ago, a stray cat gave us the wonderful gift of baby kittens at Haverty Hollow. The smallest one was the feistiest one, and we named her Hissy. For fifteen years she has brought pleasure and smiles to all of the children who have known her, during the school year and during Frog Hollow Camp. A few weeks ago she became ill. We all hoped she would get better, but unfortunately, she did not make it. Yesterday we had to say goodbye to our sweet girl kitty. She will be missed so much, but will live on in our fond memories. We called her our kitty, but probably she thought of all of us as her humans. But the love between us all was strong!
Remembering with love,
Lisa Haverty
