Defenders of Wildlife Thanks HH Friendship Club

Each school year at Haverty Hollow, children in our After School Enrichment Program join in Friendship Club activities. Grouped by age, the children are engaged in activities designed to promote mutual understanding and respect and build a positive regard for one another and their wider community.

Towards the end of the school year, each Club agrees by voice vote on an activity they believe will serve a larger purpose.

Miss Lisa’s Club, made up of our Spring Quarter third, fourth and fifth graders, planned to donate money raised from a car wash at Haverty Hollow to the Defenders of Wildlife. Check out their Facebook posting of the Club’s letters accompanying their donation to the group. The FC members were able to give more than $100 to the organization that helps animals stay in their wild environments.
